Atomos Ninja Phone Video Co-Processor
The Atomos Ninja Phone Video Co-Processor is a cutting-edge 10-bit video processing unit designed specifically for smartphones and tablets. It enables seamless recording from professional cameras via HDMI. Tailored for optimal performance with the iPhone 15 Pro, 15 Pro Max, and their stunning OLED displays, the Ninja Phone allows you to encode HDMI signals into ProRes or H.265 formats. Using a USB-C output, the encoded video is transmitted to your iPhone's USB-C input. There, the A17 SoC processor decodes the signal, presenting it on your iPhone's screen, which boasts a remarkable 2,000,000:1 contrast ratio and supports Dolby Vision, HDR10, and HLG. Additionally, it offers an impressive 11 stops of dynamic range and a peak brightness of 1600 nits. ProRes-encoded videos can be saved on your iPhone as .mov files and/or simultaneously transcoded into 10-bit H.265 format, ideal for workflows involving camera-to-cloud operations or live streaming facilitated by the iPhone's advanced 5G and Wi-Fi 6E connectivity.
You'll also be able to take advantage of external iPhone accessories using a separate USB-C port that allows you to work with microphones and other third-party accessories. Power is delivered using NP series batteries, a battery eliminator, or a USB-C 5V/3A input. When one of these power sources is in use, the Ninja Phone also charges your phone and any connected accessories, helping to ensure longer operating times.
The Ninja Phone iPhone app, which is available as a free download, makes it easy to control and coordinate both the Ninja Phone and your iPhone. It also lets social media creators shoot in 16:9 horizontal or 9:16 portrait mode and is available for iOS and iPadOS.
