Allen & Heath ZEDi-10FX Compact Hybrid Mixer/USB Interface (with On-Board Effects Engine)

The ZEDi-10FX is a ten-channel mixer with reverb, delay, chorusing, and tap-tempo features that was created to bring the distinctive Allen & Heath sensibility to a small and portable design. Not only that, but the device also functions as a USB interface with four channels for conversion from analogue to digital or vice versa. Four XLR inputs, four line inputs, two instrument ports, and two stereo line input pairs are available on the analogue side. The ZEDi-10FX is thus equally suited for recording instruments in real time and for live mixing in small venues.

Cubase LE, a digital audio workstation that lets you record, sequence, and edit music, whether it be audio or MIDI, is included with the unit if you decide to utilise it as an interface.

The ZEDi-10FX's preamps were designed with the Allen & Heath GS2-R24 in mind. These channel strips are designed to be cosy, quiet, and have a tonne of headroom. The device also includes on-board EQs as standard. For guitarists who want to connect directly to the board, two channels have a switch that transforms line-level signal into high-impedance jacks. This eliminates the need to carry around an additional DI box.

Refocusing on the digital side of things, you'll see that a USB switch regulates the USB output routeing, allowing you to choose how to divide and route the incoming analogue signals into your DAW.
