DJI RS 4 Mini Handheld Gimbal Stabiliser Combo Kit
The DJI RS 4 Mini Handheld Gimbal Stabiliser is a lightweight, one-handed gimbal stabilizer with a payload of up to 2kg. It was made specifically for mirrorless cameras. This single-grip gimbal employs the DJI RS stabilization algorithm for improved performance. With a built-in 3100mAh battery and a retractable extended grip/tripod, it weighs only 910g and can record fluid video for up to 13 hours.
With a payload capacity of 2kg, the lightweight RS 4 Mini can easily handle vLog cameras like the Sony ZV series and mirrorless cameras like the Sony A7 series with a 24-70 mm f/2.8 GM II lens. It still permits fluid camera motions with fill lights, DJI Mic series microphones, and other accessories. The new Phone Holder can instantly convert to a smartphone stabilizer.
The RS 4 Mini incorporates auto-axis locks, previously present on DJI's flagship gimbals, to enable the three-axis locks to unlock upon power-on, lock upon power-off, or sleep automatically. This expedites filming, transferring, and storing. The axis arms on the storage structure have also been modified to fold flat to reduce space. With automated axis locks, the gimbal may be easily packed into a bag for comfortable transport and stored with a single button press.
The gimbal provides the quickest transition between horizontal and vertical shooting in the RS series. Simply loosen and press the single-side knob, take out the horizontal plate of the gimbal, twist it 90 degrees, and then tighten it again to switch to vertical shooting. All of this can be completed in just ten seconds, seamlessly transitioning to vertical movies that are ideal for social media site capture on mobile devices.
Teflon interlayers, which were previously utilized on DJI's flagship gimbals, have been painstakingly added to the RS 4 Mini to reduce friction and improve balancing. Accurate, millimetre-level balancing can be achieved by moving the camera forward or backward using the new tilt axis fine-tuning knob. Three placement holes are added to the upper quick-release plate, giving you extra balance room and enabling you to select several installation positions depending on your camera. Additionally, it helps with memory for fast repositioning without compromising equilibrium when you need to take the camera off the gimbal and put it back.
Without the inconvenience of a cable release, you can use the record button on the gimbal to directly control the start/stop of recording on your phone or camera after linking it with Bluetooth. One-handed operation is made easy with the new zoom control feature, which lets you adjust Power Zoom for PZ lenses and Clear Image Zoom by only pressing the joystick. A camera requires a single pairing; it can automatically and smoothly reconnect.
The OLED touchscreen now functions more smoothly and shows icons more clearly. There are now more gimbal status reminders, and you can adjust parameters directly with the front dial. To avoid unintentional touches and to help save battery life, the touchscreen auto-lock feature will display the current gimbal and joystick modes at low brightness.
The RS Intelligent Tracking Module is a new universal add-on for gimbals in the RS 4 series. Maintaining the human subject's constant position within the frame helps inexperienced filmmakers with clever follow-filming and composition. Recording alone is especially helpful for tracking yourself from a fixed camera position, orbit shots, and reverse tracking shots. The module works dependably even in complicated scenarios, such as multi-person environments, and offers tracking up to 10m. The gimbal can locate and track the subject even if they momentarily disappear from the frame. The module is attached to the tilt axis using a magnetic fast-release mechanism to ensure stable mounting.
The improved 4th-generation RS Stabilization algorithm provides outstanding performance and an improved user experience by balancing stabilization strength and the tactile feel of camera movement. Additionally, it gives much better stability when shooting vertically, making it simple to steady dynamic images like low-angle viewpoints or running. The gimbal's motor strength is automatically calibrated to adjust to varied situations, making it compatible with a wide range of cameras.
Low-angle handheld filming is made easier with the redesigned briefcase handle, an optional device for the RS 4 Mini that reduces weight by around 12% and size by about 20%.
