NiSi 67mm Black Mist 1/4 and 1/8 Filter Kit with Case
NiSi's 67mm Black Mist 1/4 and 1/8 Filter Kit can reduce contrast and highlights inside the frame to balance the tonal range between highlights and shadows. Black mist diffusion filters are frequently used to smooth out imperfections and wrinkles and enhance the appearance of a subject. Black mist reduces brightness and intensifies shadows for contrast that is well-balanced. Light sources keep a firm centre and a pleasant glow coming from them. Beyond portraiture, black mist filters can also be used in other contexts, such as night photography, landscape, and still life, to add more blooming and gradients to the highlights in a scene and give it a more dramatic feel. Any direct source of light will take on a more film-like appearance, with a butterier, smoother texture around the highlights.
The filters in this kit are made of optical glass and have strength ratings of 1/4 and 1/8; as the grade number rises, the filter effect becomes roughly twice as strong. The set includes a handy carrying case; each filter has a 67mm aluminium ring.
