Robust support for overhead illumination such as hair lighting, the Saldo Boom Light Stand from Phottix is two supports in one. With the boom in a vertical position, the stand rises to a maximum height of 12.9'. The boom arm can tilt 180°. The tilting mechanism is simple and features a sturdy locking lever, and while extended allows you to position a light above your frame without seeing the stand in the shot. A reversible 5/8" mounting stud, with 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 threaded studs, is included, as well as an empty counterweight bag that you can fill on location.

• The top riser arm is attached via a 180° mechanism that allows you to use it as a standard light stand, or use the top riser as a boom
• The top riser arm has a maximum length of 79.9" when used as a traditional stand; when used as a boom arm, the length is less as you have to balance the weight at the end on the other side of the fulcrum
• An included counterweight bag ships empty to save you on weight; you can fill it up to 17.6 lb on location
