The Sennheiser EW-DP ME 2 SET with ME 2 Omnidirectional Lavalier is a camera-mount, fully digital wireless microphone system that uses professional UHF transmission to reliably deliver Sennheiser's pristine, broadcast-quality audio directly to your camera. It was specifically designed for content creators, videographers, and newsgatherers looking for a stress-free wireless experience. This set-up includes a lightweight EW-D SK bodypack transmitter with an unobtrusive ME 2 omnidirectional lavalier mic, an EW-DP EK camera mount, a single-channel receiver with mounting kit, as well as 3.5mm and XLR output cables to connect the receiver to a DSLR or mirrorless camera, a recorder, or a mixer.

The pro-level capabilities of the EW-DP are simple to set up and use, offering both novice and seasoned users an intuitive user interface. The transmitter can withstand almost any input level you throw at it thanks to its impressive 134 dB dynamic range, so you don't have to worry about adjusting the input gain to avoid clipping. Even in difficult RF conditions, the receiver's wide 56 MHz bandwidth, clever switching diversity reception with two antennas, and auto-scan with 2240 frequencies collaborate to deliver rock-solid wireless performance. Using the Smart Assist app, Bluetooth capabilities let you remotely sync parts and modify settings, while Smart Notifications offer system assistance and troubleshooting. Up to 12 hours of transmitter and 7 hours of reception operation are provided on set via intelligent battery management.

The concern over overwhelming your signal is gone, thanks to the transmitter's input's astounding 134 dB dynamic range. From soft actors or speakers to the loudest sounds, the EW-D can handle a wide range of sound sources without needing any gain adjustments at the transmitter.

UHF transmission, which is widely used by professionals, considerably improves range (up to 100m) and signal dependability since it avoids competing with Wi-Fi devices and other common sources of interference.

The system's central component is the portable, single-channel, tiny EW-DP EK receiver, designed with ease of use for independent cameramen, videographers, producers, and journalists working on location without a team. A front-facing OLED display makes it simple to navigate menus and provides instant system information from any angle and in any light.

The receiver includes a magnetic cheese plate and a cold shoe attachment with a 1/4"-20 thread on the bottom that offers versatile mounting options for camera cages and accessory arms. When filming two on-camera personalities, you can safely place a second transmitter on top using magnetic mounting. Sennheiser sells a combiner connection that enables recording from both receivers to a single 3.5mm input on a camera.

Automated setup, operation, and monitoring are provided via the EW-D Smart Assist app (free download available separately) utilising any iOS or Android device over Bluetooth. Without wireless knowledge, automatic frequency coordination establishes dependable wireless connections for up to 16 systems.

A wireless system called EW-DP can troubleshoot problems for you. Smart Notifications offer solutions to problems that arise during setup or system operation. Smart Notifications will advise lowering the gain if your audio clips. The system will notify you when your battery is low.
