In addition to the shoe mount, the bracket has a 1/4"-20 thread that can connect it to a tripod, rig, or other bracket with a 1/4"-20 thread.

    The mounting shoes are machined from the same piece as the bracket, adding strength, and the bracket is made of a robust yet lightweight aluminium alloy. Backstops are another element of the accessory shoes that improve security when fastening accessories. A locking pin is present on the bottom shoe that fastens to the camera; this holds the shoe in position and prevents rotation while in operation.
