Essential ball adjustment for video use
This device turns a non-ball adjustable tripod into a ball adjustable tripod. I use it on a Manfrotto carbon fibre tripod for video use. Without it the tripod would be close to useless for the types of video I shoot where true horizontal horizons are essential. It does add some weight to the otherwise feather-light CF tripod and the use of lighter alloys would have been good. But the device is extremely well made and precision engineering comes at a price (both in terms of cost and weight). I intend purchasing more to use on some other non-ball tripods i own. I have yet to see a better solution on the market.
