Minimise lens flares and eliminate unwanted glare in your footage with the SmallRig 95mm Matte Box Kit, featuring a CPL/VND Filter Set. Designed for professional videographers and filmmakers, this versatile matte box features a 95mm opening compatible with lenses of the same diameter. It includes four threaded adapter rings to accommodate a wide range of smaller lenses.

The kit includes two scratch-resistant circular polariser (CPL) filters, a standard 4 x 5.65" filter frame, and a dedicated 4 x 5.65" frame for round CPL and variable ND (VND) filters. A carbon fibre top flag and a detachable lens hood are also included to help control excess light from strong sources such as the sun or fill lights. The matte box is lightweight yet robust, making it ideal for both handheld and rig-based setups.

The included CPL filters (CPL1 and CPL2) magnetically mount into the frame for fast setup and can be used together with the hood's built-in gearing to create a variable ND effect, reducing light intake by approximately two to five stops. Each polariser is also effective at cutting reflections on glass, water, and shiny surfaces, while increasing contrast and clarity. For greater light reduction, an optional CPL3 filter (sold separately) can be paired with CPL1 to achieve six to nine stops of light control.
