Buying guide
Choose sale gear that fills a gap in your kit
Start with equipment versus accessories. November Every Friday Sales brings together microphones, headphones and LED lighting alongside cables, mounts, batteries, storage and cases. Choose around a specific task rather than treating every item as a complete setup. A microphone can address sound capture, for example, while its stand, connection and power requirements remain separate purchasing decisions. Compare the displayed price for each selected item.
Build the right audio signal path. For home musicians and project studios, the Audio Technica AT2050 offers three pickup patterns, meaning you can change which directions it captures sound from. Its XLR output needs a microphone preamp and 48V phantom power. Cable choices also serve different jobs: the Hosa balanced TRS-to-XLR cable connects a balanced quarter-inch output to an XLR input, while the Connex XLR-to-TS cable carries an unbalanced signal. Match the equipment sockets, signal type, connector gender and required length before choosing.
Separate camera support from light support. The Benro KH25PC includes a video head and tripod, supports up to 5kg and reaches 156cm. It suits buyers seeking a camera-support kit rather than a mounting accessory alone. For compact phone setups, the FireFly FMT-S2 has an integrated rotating phone holder and cold shoe. Lighting supports have their own limits: the Kupo 028 supports up to 3kg and retracts its legs when lifted. Compare your mounted load and working height, then match the attachment interface.
Choose between making light and modifying it. The NANLITE PavoTube II 6XR produces light and offers eight controllable pixels for creative effects, with onboard, app and professional control options. Rosco's Diffusion Filter Kit instead softens an existing light source and changes shadow character. These solve different needs: select a light when you need illumination, or diffusion when you want to reshape light you already have. For modifiers, measure the area you need to cover.
Plan power around the device. The selection includes NP-F batteries, dedicated chargers, dummy-battery cables and D-Tap distribution accessories. A battery, charger and power cable each perform a different role. For a multi-accessory rig, the Kondor Blue four-port D-Tap hub provides one regulated 12V port and three 14.8V ports, so the output chosen matters. Match battery family, voltage, connector and device requirements rather than relying on a similar-looking plug.
Match storage to recording and offloading. SDXC and CFexpress are distinct card formats, not interchangeable upgrades. The ProGrade Digital 128GB UHS-II V90 SDXC card specifies a minimum sustained write speed of 90MB/s, useful when assessing continuous recording requirements. Its maximum read speed addresses a different task: transferring files. Choose the camera's accepted format and recording-speed requirement first, then select a reader that explicitly supports that card type.
Frequently asked questions
When does November Every Friday Sales run, and what can I shop?
November Every Friday Sales runs at Videoguys Australia from 2–30 November 2026. The selection includes microphones, headphones, camera supports, lighting products, cables, power accessories and storage. Browse the included products and compare their displayed prices individually, then choose the equipment or accessory that addresses a specific need in your setup.
Is the RODE Wireless ME TX a complete wireless microphone system?
No. The Wireless ME TX is a transmitter that requires a RODE Series IV receiver to operate. It suits someone expanding an appropriate existing system rather than buying a standalone recording solution. It includes a built-in omnidirectional microphone, a 3.5mm TRS input for an external microphone and GainAssist technology that adjusts volume.
Will the RODE SC6 record two interview microphones on separate channels?
No. The SC6 accepts one or two smartLav microphones through its two TRRS inputs, but both microphone inputs are recorded to the same mono channel. It also provides a stereo headphone output for monitoring and playback. It suits dual-dialogue recording through a compatible TRRS device when separate microphone tracks are not required.
Which Lee Filters Colour Magic pack suits colour experiments rather than technical correction?
The Complementary Pack is intended for exploring colour addition and subtraction, with 12 coloured filters including reds, greens, blues and pinks. The Studio Pack instead contains technical filters for light-source control, including blue and orange colour-correction filters and neutral density filters. Both use 250 x 300mm sheets, so choose by the lighting change you need.
What can the Insta360 Carry Case for X4 hold?
The case is designed for the X4 and selected accessories, with moulded spaces for the camera, fast charging hub and 33.5-inch selfie stick. A mesh pocket accommodates additional items such as spare batteries and cables. It is a carrying accessory, not a camera kit; compare its dedicated layout with the equipment you intend to pack.
