Rode PROCASTER Broadcast Quality Dynamic Microphone

Use it for my podcast. With the PSA1 and PSM1 makes the perfect podcast setup.

I record a weekly podcast that is co-hosted. The mic is solid and doesn't require power which is great. The internal pop filter isn't that great, but the overall sound quality is excellent. It does pick up background noise like planes and cars.

Terrific mike for podcasting if you want XLR connectivity. I prefer the sound depth to the Podcaster, another great Rode microphone. Highly recommended.

I use this microphone for voiceover work and it does the job brilliantly. I use it in an office with phones, radios and people talking, and yet it delivers high quality recordings of the voice only.The main problem I have with this mic is that you don't actually talk into the side as the gold dot would suggest. You actually need to talk into the end which makes it difficult to use with the Rode Pop Filters and shock mounts. I've had to cable tie the pop filter to get it into a good position on the mic stand.But overall it delivers excellent sound and is wonderful to use!

I use this microphone on a regular basis. It's used in recording three podcasts, and the sound quality from this microphone easily matches that of some of the more expensive mics I have.Such a great microphone. I will be purchasing more of this same model to replace some of my other equipment in the near future.
