The Sony LMD-A220 22" LCD Production Monitor is a versatile, high-performance monitor designed for professional on-set, studio, and broadcast use. Featuring a crisp 1920 x 1080 full HD IPS display, it delivers wide 178° horizontal and vertical viewing angles for accurate colour and consistent image quality from virtually any position. This monitor supports multi-format video inputs, including 3G/HD/SD-SDI, HDMI, and composite, compatible with NTSC/PAL, 720p, 1080i, and 1080p signals at frame rates from 24p to 60p, making it suitable for both film and live production environments.

Engineered for precision, the LMD-A220 includes professional monitoring tools, including a built-in waveform monitor, vectorscope, and focus assist with adjustable colour peaking. The monitor supports S-Log2 to Rec. 709 LUT conversion and multiple colour gamuts (SMPTE C, EBU, ITU-R BT.709, and Native), allowing accurate colour grading and critical exposure adjustments directly on set. Additional features such as timecode display, 7 assignable function buttons, and EIA/CEA-608/708 digital closed caption decoding make it a powerful tool for broadcast applications.

Audio monitoring is fully supported with a 16-channel SDI audio decoder, a front-panel 3.5mm headphone jack, a 1W built-in speaker, and a 3.5mm stereo mini jack input for composite audio signals. Connectivity is flexible, with dual Ethernet ports for serial and parallel remote control, enabling network-based monitoring and software updates. For power, the monitor accepts a 12 VDC input via a 4-pin XLR connector, ideal for field use.

The monitor is built for professional deployment, featuring VESA 100 x 100mm mounting compatibility, optional rackmount brackets, integrated monitor feet, and a sturdy handle for portability. The durable construction includes a double-coated paint finish and a low-latency automatic I/P conversion system, ensuring consistent performance in demanding production environments.
