Upgraded to deliver consistently sharper images across the range, this full-frame lens offers near-zero aberration, excellent clarity, and a fast T1.9 maximum aperture for low-light shooting and creative depth of field. It also incorporates Cooke/i technology, enabling real-time lens metadata capture to streamline both production and post-production processes.
Covering full-frame and large-format sensors, including VistaVision, the Vespid II series provides outstanding versatility. Each lens integrates an aspherical element to minimise aberrations and distortion, while maintaining excellent close-focus ability and reduced focus breathing. This ensures a clean, cinematic image with strong optical consistency throughout the series.
Weighing just 800g, the Vespid II 18mm T1.9 is designed with mobility in mind, making it ideal for handheld setups, gimbals, and drones. The lenses in the series are matched in colour, size, and weight for seamless switching on set. Features such as a standard 80 mm front diameter, cine-style 0.8 MOD gears, and a 300° focus barrel rotation allow for smooth operation and precise focus pulls. A newly applied coating on the housing reduces reflections, improving both usability and image quality.
With Cooke /i metadata transmission, key parameters such as focal length, aperture, and focus distance can be sent directly to compatible cameras through the PL-mount contacts or via a LEMO connector.
