The transmitter communicates using 2.4 GHz digital transmission and Bluetooth technology, offering flexible connectivity options. It can be paired with a separately available DJI Mic 2 receiver, added to an existing Mic 2 system for dual-channel recording, or connected directly via Bluetooth to compatible devices such as the DJI Osmo Pocket 3, DJI Osmo Action 4, DJI Osmo Action 5 Pro, or Bluetooth-enabled mobile devices and computers. With a maximum operating range of up to 820 feet (250 m) line-of-sight, it provides dependable wireless performance for interviews, vlogging, live streaming, and run-and-gun production.
For added recording security, the transmitter features 8GB of internal storage, supporting up to 14 hours of onboard audio capture. It records at 24-bit / 48 kHz for professional clarity and can enable 32-bit float recording when used with the DJI Mimo app. This high dynamic range recording mode helps preserve detail in complex sound environments and reduces the risk of clipped audio. When connected via Bluetooth to compatible devices, users can also activate intelligent noise cancelling directly through the DJI Mimo app for cleaner recordings during video capture.
