Regardless of the source, its wide frequency response and sensitivity produce crystal-clear audio fidelity. Putting the microphone close to high transients also features a pre-attenuation switch and a low-frequency roll-off switch to reduce rumble and noise. The MKH 50 is more than capable of recording instruments or vocals. However, it does require +48V phantom power.
