The Shure BLX188/CVL is a dual-channel wireless lavalier microphone system designed for two presenters, lecturers, educators, or performers who require reliable, hands-free audio. Combining simple setup, dependable analog UHF wireless performance, and professional sound quality, the system includes the BLX88 dual-channel tabletop receiver, two BLX1 bodypack transmitters, and two CVL cardioid lavalier microphones, making it ideal for conferences, classrooms, houses of worship, corporate events, and small venues.

The included CVL Centraverse lavalier microphones deliver clear, natural speech reproduction with a cardioid pickup pattern that reduces unwanted background noise. Featuring CommShield RF Filtering, they help minimise interference from nearby smartphones and wireless devices, ensuring consistent vocal clarity.

The lightweight BLX1 bodypack transmitters are comfortable to wear and feature adjustable gain control, simple group and channel selection, an easily accessible power switch, and a TA4M 4-pin microphone input. Each transmitter operates for up to 14 hours on two AA batteries and provides a wireless operating range of up to 300 ft (91 m).

At the heart of the system, the BLX88 dual-channel receiver utilises microprocessor-controlled antenna diversity technology to improve signal stability and reduce dropouts. One-touch QuickScan automatically scans 123 available frequencies to locate the best open channel when interference occurs, allowing for fast, hassle-free setup. The receiver also provides dual XLR and 1/4" audio outputs for easy integration with mixers, PA systems, and audio installations.

Designed with flexibility in mind, the BLX wireless platform is compatible with a wide range of optional Shure microphones and accessories, including headset, earset, handheld, and instrument microphone options.
