    The Zoom ZSG-1 Camera-Mount Shotgun Microphone has a lightweight form factor and a highly directional super cardioid pickup pattern for increased audio pickup. It best suits run-and-gun shooting, vlogs, and other content creation. Your DSLR/mirrorless camera, compatible smartphone, or portable recorder can be connected to the microphone via the provided cable's 3.5mm TRS connection to capture audio superior to what your device can produce.

    The ZSG-1 is meant to capture directed audio while reducing ambient noise. It has off-axis rejection and a tuned frequency response. The output connection supplies power to the microphone, and the absence of onboard controls assures straightforward plug-and-play operation. A shock mount that lowers handling noise and enables you to mount the ZSG-1 to the top of your camera or smartphone gimbal is included with the microphone. To use the microphone with a boompole or pistol grip, remove it from the mount. By using a foam windscreen, wind noise distortion is lessened.
