Engineered to withstand demanding conditions, the Pelican 1200 features a watertight, crushproof, and dustproof design with a durable neoprene O-ring seal and secure double-throw latches that create a dependable barrier against moisture and contaminants. An integrated automatic pressure equalisation valve balances internal air pressure in response to altitude or atmospheric changes while preventing water from entering the case.
The interior includes Pelican's three-piece foam system for customised equipment protection. This consists of a convoluted foam lid insert, a Pick N Pluck foam layer for creating custom equipment cavities, and a solid bottom foam layer that cushions equipment from impact and vibration during transport.
Built with stainless steel hardware and Pelican's signature open-cell core and solid-wall construction, the case offers outstanding durability without unnecessary weight. An oversized carry handle provides a comfortable grip and allows two-handed carrying when transporting heavier loads.
Certified to IP67 standards, the Pelican 1200 can withstand temporary submersion in water up to one metre for 30 minutes and offers proven protection against dust ingress. The case is also certified to Def Stan 81-41 and STANAG 4280 standards and operates reliably in temperatures ranging from -40°C to 95°C, making it suitable for use in some of the most challenging environments.
