Falcon Eyes Continuous Fluorescent 428 Twin Light Kit

I bought these in order to replace old continuous softboxes that I purchased a couple of years ago. In terms of their brightness they are far superior and I enjoy the flexibility to turn on only some of the globes inside. The assembly is a lot more complex that I had imagined, the softboxes are held open by fibreglass poles that you slide into them similar to a tent. It can sometimes be physically difficult to force the poles in once some are already in place holding the fabric taut. The standing poles are more flimsy than my previous ones which makes me concerned the lights may topple when extended to their full height, however the trade off for this is that the are extremely portable and collapse to a very small size. I would previously have been unable to take my lights with me when travelling but this whole kit would easily fit into my luggage, which is a big bonus. The only really negative design feature is that the knob you turn to loosen or tighten the soft boxes ability to angle up or down can't make a full rotation when the soft box is fully set up, as the box itself gets in the way. Because of this sometimes I find I can't tighten them sufficiently and they slowly rotate downwards when shooting. It's an easily fixed issue by simply pushing the light back up every twenty minutes or so but it's a bit of a nuisance. I would buy this kit again, it caters to my needs and it's transportability is its biggest asset.
