Designed for audio equipment and professional production gear using an NP-1 battery mount, the IDX NP-9X is a 96Wh lithium-ion NP-style battery offering a high-capacity, reliable power solution for field and studio applications. It delivers stable 14.4V operation (up to 16.8V fully charged) and is built to support demanding broadcast and location audio workflows.
The NP-9X features two D-Tap outputs for powering external accessories such as wireless receivers, field recorders, mixers, and monitors. One of these is a D-Tap Advanced port, which also functions as a charging input when used with the optional IDX VL-DT1 D-Tap charger. According to IDX, this is the only charger supported via the D-Tap Advanced input.
As the successor to the popular NP-L7S battery, the NP-9X maintains compatibility with existing IDX NP-1 ecosystem accessories, including the JL-2PLUS charger (sold separately), making it a seamless upgrade for established production kits.
