The second-generation PavoTube II 15C RGB LED Tube 4-Light Kit from Nanlite adds to their range of LED tube lights and has a better, easier-to-use fixture with a brighter output than the first-generation PavoTube 15C. The PavoTube II 15C offers remarkable colour accuracy with a larger colour temperature range from 2700 to 7500K, as demonstrated by its CRI and TLCI scores of 97 and 98 at over 423 lux at 1m (5600K). This adaptable, lightweight tube light, measuring 60cm in length, is perfect for filmmakers and content producers setting up lighting in the studio or on location. It can be used as a key, fill, backlight, or for in-camera practical effects and has a dimming range of 0 to 100%. It also has 15 preprogrammed special lighting effects.
There are numerous upgrades, such as quicker charging through the supplied AC adapter or the USB-C socket on the fixture's back, seamless diffusion, a green-magenta shift of +/- 150, Bluetooth and 2.4 GHz for wireless control, DMX/RDM functionality, and thinner endcaps to reduce frame distractions. A built-in rechargeable battery within the PavoTube II 15C allows it to operate at 100% brightness for up to 2 hours. The light may also run on additional batteries or the provided multi-voltage AC converter, which offers universal power capability. It contains a clip with two 1/4"-20 mounts, two steel safety wires for hanging, and a cushioned carry case for storing and transportation. It is T12 compliant with a 1.9" diameter.
Developed for larger illumination areas, the PavoTube II 15C's improved internal diffusion obscures the individual LED diodes to create a seamless light source that looks compelling in-frame as well as smoother on reflective surfaces when applied out-of-frame.
The PavoTube II 15C features a CRI of 97 and a TLCI of 98, meaning you can shoot with confidence knowing the color reproduction will be precise. For a more detailed perspective on color rendering, it also has TM-30 scores of RF 94 and RG 101. No matter how bright or dimmed, the light you see will remain accurate across any CCT. Besides color accuracy, the light is equipped with 15 preprogrammed customisable effects that can be saved as presets using the free NANLINK app.
In shooting situations where you need to match other light sources or achieve a specific look, it can be extremely helpful to adjust the green-to-magenta shift for colour correction. With this PavoTube II 15C's feature you can tweak the color by +/- 150 to get there.
The light's built-in battery recharges 1 hour and 10 minutes faster than previous generations. You can charge it using the USB-C port on the back of the fixture or connect it to the included AC adapter to the PavoTube II 15C's endcap for continuous power. You also have the option of using D-tap batteries with the separately available CB-DT/DC cable.
The PavoTube II 15C features a convenient OLED display and two onboard buttons and knobs for precise and easy local control, but the light can also be controlled remotely.
