The Atomos Shogun AV-19 expands your production workflow with a powerful all-in-one 19-inch 4K HDR monitor, recorder, and switcher, designed for studio, broadcast, live events, and high-end cinema environments. As the latest addition to the Shogun range from Atomos, the AV-19 combines professional monitoring accuracy, multi-channel recording and asynchronous switching in a robust 7RU rackmount unit.
At the centre of the system is a bright 19-inch IPS touchscreen with a 3840 x 2160 UHD resolution and 1200 cd/m² brightness, delivering crisp, colour-accurate images even in demanding lighting conditions. The capacitive touchscreen provides intuitive control over monitoring, playback and switching functions, while quad-view and full-screen display modes allow you to monitor multiple sources simultaneously. Captured footage can be reviewed instantly on the same high-quality display used for acquisition, making it ideal for directors, DITs and technical supervisors.
For multicamera productions, the Shogun AV-19 features one HDMI input, two 12G-SDI inputs, and two 3G-SDI inputs, making it a quad-view live switcher and recorder. You can monitor live feeds, switch asynchronously between sources without requiring locked signals, and record up to four 1080p60 ISO streams while simultaneously capturing a fifth program output channel. This flexibility eliminates the need for expensive genlocked systems and allows integration with a wider range of cameras.
Built-in NDI support via Gigabit Ethernet enables seamless integration into IP-based production workflows. Supporting high-quality, low-latency NDI|HX3 input and output, the AV-19 integrates easily with PTZ camera control systems and existing NDI networks, making it highly adaptable for modern hybrid broadcast environments.
The Shogun AV-19 also excels in HDR workflows. It accepts Log signals from compatible cameras and provides real-time LUT preview, allowing you to monitor in Rec.709 while recording in Apple ProRes, ProRes RAW or Avid DNxHR formats. Supporting up to 6K30 recording via 12G-SDI and DCI 4K60 via HDMI, it ensures high-quality capture suitable for professional post-production and archival use. Recording can be made directly to a CFexpress Type B card or to external media via USB-C, and custom LUTs can be loaded for precise colour management.
A comprehensive suite of monitoring tools is included, including waveform, vectorscope, RGB parade, false colour, focus peaking, zebra, anamorphic de-squeeze, frame guides, and HDR exposure tools. Six user-definable function buttons on the front panel provide quick access to frequently used features, streamlining on-set operation.
