The PreSonus StudioLive Series III SE 16 is a compact, professional-grade digital mixer designed for live sound, studio recording, and broadcast applications. Combining a 16-channel analog front-end with a 64x64 USB audio interface and onboard SD card recording, it delivers powerful all-in-one performance for production environments that demand reliability, flexibility, and superior sound quality.

At the core of the SE 16 is PreSonus’s FLEX DSP engine, offering up to 130 simultaneous signal processors including vintage-modeled Fat Channel EQs, compressors, and dynamics. Each input and output is equipped with a full suite of processing tools including high-pass filters, gate/expander, limiter, and 4-band parametric EQs. Four internal effects buses provide studio-quality reverbs and delays, while automatic mic mixing ensures clean output in speech-heavy scenarios.

The mixer features 17 touch-sensitive motorized faders—16 for channels and 1 for master—allowing hands-on control of mix scenes and DCA groups. With 16 FlexMix buses configurable as aux, subgroup, or matrix sends, 24 DCA groups, and detailed scene recall, the SE 16 provides deep routing capabilities suitable for both front-of-house and monitor mix roles.

Connectivity is extensive: 16 XMAX-R remote-controllable mic preamps, 2-track RCA I/O, main and mono summed XLR outputs, headphone and monitor outputs, AVB networking, AES3 digital output, and a 64x64 USB-B interface. Multitrack recording is supported natively to SD card or USB drive (up to 34 tracks), making the SE 16 ideal for virtual soundchecks and live captures.

Remote control is supported via UC Surface for Mac/Windows, QMix-UC for iOS/Android, and the new Metro remote service for internet-based mixing. AVB networking allows seamless integration with NSB stage boxes and EarMix personal monitoring systems, all Milan-certified for time-aligned audio transport.

With a rugged chassis, improved fader caps and tactile knobs, and a flat-angle screen for better visibility, the SE 16 is optimized for long sessions and tough environments.
