The Zoom LiveTrak L6max delivers big-mixer capability in a compact, portable design, making it an ideal solution for performers, bands, podcasters and creators who need power without the bulk. With 4 combo inputs – including 2 Hi-Z inputs for guitars – plus 8 line inputs across 12 total channels, it offers impressive versatility for live shows, rehearsals and studio sessions. Two headphone outputs, a dedicated Sub-Out mix, and onboard -20 dB Pads on channels 5–8 give you complete control over levels, even when working with hot signals from vintage synths or modular gear. A transparent OLED display makes navigation easy while shaping your mix.
Built for serious multitrack recording, the L6max captures up to 14 tracks directly to SD cards up to 2TB, and it can save and recall projects at any time. Unlimited overdubbing is made possible via the dedicated bounce channel, and if a bounce doesn’t land perfectly, you can simply undo and try again. Every take is preserved as its own file for detailed editing later on. Intelligent Audio Technology, including AI Noise Reduction, helps remove hum and background noise while maintaining natural clarity. Channels 1–4 use dual A/D converters to record in clip-free 32-bit float, preserving everything from quiet vocals to loud drum hits without distortion.
Creative sound shaping is front and centre with a 3-band EQ on every channel, plus onboard Reverb, Delay and Echo with TAP tempo. A master track compressor adds extra punch and cohesion to your final mix. Beyond mixing and recording, the L6max operates as a 12-in/4-out USB audio interface for computers and mobile devices and can serve as a DAW control surface for an integrated production workflow.
For advanced routing, two Aux Sends (pre- or post-fader) make it easy to set up monitor mixes or external effects loops. Scene Memory lets you save and recall four complete mixes, while built-in Sound Pads let you trigger samples, stings, or sound effects, with MIDI clock sync available for electronic performance setups. With MIDI I/O and USB MIDI support, connecting synths, grooveboxes and MIDI applications is seamless.
The free L6 Editor app for Mac and Windows provides deeper control over pads, effects and MIDI assignments. Power options are equally flexible, supporting AA batteries, USB bus power, or an external mobile battery pack. Optional ERL-6 rack ears and a dedicated power supply also allow the L6max to be mounted into a standard Eurorack case, making it a versatile tool for both studio rigs and modular environments.
