The Magewell Pro Convert HDMI 4K Plus is a professional HDMI-to-NDI converter designed to seamlessly integrate HDMI video sources into IP-based production workflows. Supporting resolutions up to DCI 4K at 60 fps, it enables broadcasters, content creators, live event producers, houses of worship, and corporate AV teams to convert a single HDMI source with embedded audio into a high-quality NDI stream for distribution over a network.
Featuring an HDMI input and loop-through output, the Pro Convert HDMI 4K Plus allows simultaneous local monitoring while streaming video over Gigabit Ethernet to NDI-compatible software such as OBS Studio, vMix, Wirecast, XSplit, VidBlasterX, and other NewTek NDI-enabled applications. The unit supports up to eight channels of embedded audio and delivers reliable, low-latency video transport for professional live production environments.
Advanced video processing tools provide extensive image control, including brightness, contrast, saturation, hue adjustment, deinterlacing, aspect ratio conversion, frame rate conversion, colour space conversion, and custom EDID management. PTZ and tally integration are supported via the Mini DIN-8 interface, making the converter suitable for broadcast and multi-camera production systems.
The compact converter can be powered using either the included USB power adapter or Power over Ethernet (PoE), simplifying installation and reducing cable clutter. A built-in web interface allows remote configuration, monitoring, and firmware updates, while status LEDs provide clear indication of power, signal, tally, and operational status.
