The Magewell USB Capture HDMI 4K Pro is a professional USB-C video capture device that enables high-quality HDMI video capture up to DCI 4K at 60fps. Featuring an HDMI input with HDMI loop-through, the USB Capture HDMI 4K Pro allows you to capture video from cameras, gaming consoles, media players, and other HDMI sources while simultaneously monitoring the signal on an external display. Connected via a high-speed USB-C 3.2 interface, it supports capture on Windows, macOS, Linux, and ChromeOS systems without requiring dedicated drivers.
The device supports capture resolutions up to DCI 4K 60fps with 4:4:4 colour sampling when used with a compatible USB 3.2 Gen 2x2 (20Gbps) host, while also supporting lower resolutions at frame rates up to 240fps for high-speed recording. Advanced processing features such as resolution scaling, de-interlacing, cropping, image flipping, and mirroring provide additional flexibility for a wide range of production environments.
For audio integration, the USB Capture HDMI 4K Pro supports embedded HDMI audio as well as 3.5mm analogue audio input and output, making it easy to capture external audio sources or extract audio from an HDMI signal. An integrated LED status indicator provides instant feedback on signal lock and input status, while the included Magewell USB Capture Utility simplifies monitoring, firmware updates, and troubleshooting.
