Avenger F830 Baby to Junior Swivel Pin

The F830 is a massive chunk of metal, it'll be here with the cockroaches when the nuclear winter has long passed !Just a couple of notes on it that I found a bit..well....disappointing.The actual stand for my boom arm is not all that high so to get the light modifier at the required height means I have to extend the boom at a reasonable angle, close to 45°.Despite appearances, the large ball-joint of the F830 is actually reasonably limiting in the angle it can cope with, so if your boom arm is at 45° the pin will not actually be hanging straight down.Of course, if your boom stand was higher you'd need less of an angle on the actual boom and so the pin could then possibly hang perpendicular to the ground.The second issue is that the pin to attach the strobe to is significantly smaller than the receiver in my Elinchrom strobes so when the screw on the strobe is tightened up the strobe itself then sits "crooked".The E700 pin sits nicely in a strobes receiver but this F830 pin is a "loose fit".Like I said, this is an awesome chunk of metal that will last forever, but it does have a couple of unfortunate quirks !!
