The Behringer DI400P is a compact, passive direct box designed to connect instruments such as electric guitars and basses directly to mixers while helping preserve their natural tone. It converts unbalanced line-level signals to balanced mic-level outputs, helping reduce unwanted noise, interference and ground-loop hum in professional audio setups.
Its high-performance transformer provides a 110:1 impedance ratio, allowing instruments to be connected to mixers without the tone loss that can result from impedance mismatch or long cable runs. The transformer also helps maintain high-frequency content when using extended cable lengths.
The Thru/Out jack allows the original unbalanced signal to be sent to an onstage amplifier while the balanced signal is simultaneously routed to a mixer or recording system. A ground-lift switch helps eliminate unwanted hum and noise caused by ground loops.
Housed in an ultra-compact, all-metal enclosure, the DI400P is built for reliable use on stage, in rehearsal spaces and in recording environments.
