Using DJI’s advanced O3 Pro transmission technology, the system transmits high-definition video up to 3.7 miles / 6 km line-of-sight from your DJI drone, gimbal system, or cinema camera platform. The included transmitter and high-bright monitor/receiver support up to 1080p60 video using efficient dual-band Wi-Fi (2.4 & 5 GHz), with optional high-gain antennas available to further enhance signal stability and range.

The integrated 7" 1500 cd/m² touchscreen monitor offers a crisp 1920 × 1200 resolution display designed for outdoor visibility, making it ideal for directors, focus pullers, and camera operators working in challenging lighting conditions. The monitor supports professional imaging tools—including waveform, frame guides, false color, and custom LUT import—ensuring accurate exposure and color workflows on set.

O3 Pro technology enhances reliability with up to 23 available channels, supporting seamless automatic triple-band frequency hopping across 2.4 GHz, 5 GHz, and DFS ranges. This scanning system constantly evaluates the RF environment to select the strongest, most interference-free channel, while an integrated frequency sweeper allows manual channel selection when necessary. With optional high-gain antennas attached, transmission capability is further strengthened to meet the demands of large, complex locations.

The combo supports both Control mode and Broadcast mode. In Control mode, two receivers can monitor simultaneously while enabling remote control of compatible gimbals such as the Ronin 2 or RS 3 Pro, either directly through the touchscreen or via intuitive physical gestures using the built-in gyroscopic sensor. Broadcast mode enables transmission to an unlimited number of receivers (with adjusted performance), supporting multi-department workflows—ideal for larger sets with multiple directors, clients, or team members. The system is also scalable to configurations of 20+ transmitters and 20+ receivers, enabling coordinated multi-camera operations uncommon in traditional wireless systems.

Built with production-level security, DJI Transmission incorporates AES 256-bit encryption and a custom-developed transmission protocol to safeguard confidential footage during critical shoots. The transmitter and receiver use the same optimized chip architecture found in the Ronin 4D, delivering end-to-end ultra-low latency, even when paired with high-end cinema cameras like the ARRI ALEXA Mini LF. This results in responsive focusing, precise motion control, and accurate monitoring.

Power flexibility is central to the system. Both units can be powered using DJI WB37 batteries, a DC input, or directly from DJI gimbals such as the Ronin 2 or RS 3, ensuring continuous operation throughout the production day. Additionally, when paired with the optional expansion plate, the monitor gains HDMI & SDI output, DC input, and expanded compatibility with DJI’s Master Wheels and Force Pro for advanced control setups.
