Insta360 Mic Pro Wireless System (2.4 GHz) Overview

The Insta360 Mic Pro Wireless System is a highly compact and lightweight 2.4 GHz wireless microphone system designed for solo content creation, vlogging, streaming, interviews, and mobile production. With a wireless range of up to 1312 ft / 400 m, the system provides reliable audio transmission to cameras, smartphones, computers, and other compatible recording devices.

The system includes a compact clip-on transmitter with a 1.22" six-colour E-Ink display and a camera-mount receiver with an integrated display, controls, and cold shoe mount. The transmitter can also connect directly to compatible Insta360 action cameras via Bluetooth 5.4, providing a simplified recording workflow without requiring the receiver.

Transmitter with 32-Bit Float Recording

The transmitter features 32GB of internal storage for recording 32-bit float audio, providing wide dynamic range and greater protection against unexpected changes in recording levels. Recorded files can be transferred quickly to a computer or mobile device via USB-C.

An NPU-powered AI noise-cancellation chip, automatic gain control, and low-cut filter help deliver clean and intelligible speech. The transmitter also includes selectable voice tone presets—Standard, Rich, and Bright—to tailor the character of recorded voices.

Receiver with Onboard Controls

The camera-mount receiver features an integrated touchscreen display and control dial for intuitive adjustment of wireless audio settings. A 3.5mm TRS output provides connection to compatible cameras and recording devices.

The included USB-C adapter allows the receiver to connect directly to compatible laptops and mobile devices, while a Lightning adapter can be added separately when required. The receiver can accommodate up to two audio channels in standard operation, while supported modes and optional accessories can expand the system to four audio signals.

Multi-Person and Multi-Camera Recording

For multi-person productions, Multi-Person Recording allows up to four transmitters to be connected to a receiver, with independent audio tracks synchronized together.

Multi-Cam Recording allows up to four receivers to pair with a single transmitter for synchronized audio across multiple cameras. This feature works with compatible Sony cameras when used with the separately available Camera Adapter. The receiver also supports timecode synchronization, helping streamline multi-camera editing and postproduction workflows.

Customizable E-Ink Display

The transmitter features a distinctive 1.22" six-colour E-Ink display that supports logos, images, and other graphics. Using the Insta360 app, users can upload custom artwork to give the transmitter a personalized and professional appearance.

Three-Microphone Array with Directional Pickup

A built-in three-microphone array provides three selectable pickup patterns to suit different recording situations:

• Supercardioid: Ideal for solo streaming, ASMR, voiceovers, and focused speech

• Figure-8: Suitable for interviews and two-person conversations

• Omnidirectional: Provides versatile sound capture from all directions

A separately available USB-C to 3.5mm adapter can also be used to connect the transmitter to a compatible lavalier microphone for a more discreet and professional setup.

Automatic Gain and Voice Processing

Automatic gain control continuously adjusts recording levels according to vocal intensity, reducing the need for manual level adjustments. Two selectable operating modes can be used to suit different noise environments.

Three voice tone presets—Standard, Rich, and Bright—allow users to emphasise different characteristics of human speech for a more tailored sound.

Direct Insta360 Camera Connection

Using Bluetooth 5.4, the Mic Pro transmitter can connect directly to compatible Insta360 action cameras, including the X5, Ace Pro 2, and GO Ultra. This enables high-fidelity 48 kHz audio recording directly to the camera without requiring the receiver, simplifying setup for vlogging and mobile content creation.

Long Battery Life and Fast Charging

The receiver provides up to 11 hours of battery life, while the transmitter offers up to 10 hours, supporting extended recording sessions throughout the day.

When additional power is needed, a 5-minute fast charge provides approximately 1.5 hours of additional use, helping minimise downtime during shoots.
