The Marshall Electronics CV228 All-Weather 3G/HD-SDI HD Lipstick Camera is a compact and rugged camera designed for professional video production in demanding indoor and outdoor environments. Featuring an IP67-rated weatherproof housing and a 1/2.8-inch 2.5MP CMOS sensor, the CV228 captures Full HD video at up to 1080p60, making it well suited to broadcast, live events, education, houses of worship and fixed-camera applications.

The camera includes an interchangeable 4.0 mm M12 lens that provides an approximately 85° horizontal field of view, offering a wide perspective from a compact camera body. The lens has a minimum focus distance of 10 inches (25.4 cm), while the included IP67 lens cap helps maintain the camera's weather resistance when required.

Video is delivered through a full-size 3G/HD-SDI BNC output via the included 3 m breakout cable, which also provides an RS-485 connection and a locking 12V DC power connector. Remote image adjustments can be made using RS-485 with the VISCA protocol, while a built-in joystick provides convenient access to the on-screen display and camera settings.

With its ultra-compact design and 1/4"-20 mounting thread, the CV228 can be mounted to tripods, stands and a wide range of production hardware. Its IP67-rated housing provides protection against dust and water and allows the camera to withstand temporary submersion in up to 3 m of water, making it suitable for installations where exposure to the elements is a concern.

The CV228 provides a comprehensive range of image adjustment controls, including white balance, colour, gain, pedestal, white clip, exposure and gamma settings. It is also compatible with the optional CV-RCP-V2 touchscreen controller and free camera control software, providing additional control for professional multi-camera and remote production environments.
