The PORTKEYS BM5 IV WR 5.5" HDMI/SDI Touchscreen Monitor is a powerful on-camera monitoring solution designed for filmmakers who require precise image control, flexible connectivity, and advanced camera integration both on set and in the studio. Featuring an ultra-bright 2000 cd/m² display, this compact 5.5" monitor ensures excellent visibility even in harsh daylight conditions, while its wide colour gamut and factory calibration deliver accurate and consistent colour reproduction.

Built with a durable aluminium chassis, the BM5 IV WR supports both HDMI and 3G-SDI inputs and outputs, allowing seamless integration into professional workflows. It also enables HDMI-to-SDI cross-conversion and can output 3D LUTs via SDI, making it ideal for colour-managed monitoring pipelines.

The monitor offers extensive wired and wireless camera control capabilities. Wired control is supported for select cameras from RED, Sony, Blackmagic Design, Canon, Panasonic, and Z CAM, as well as Tilta Nucleus-M wireless follow focus systems. Its integrated 2.4 GHz wireless module enables remote control of compatible RED, ARRI, Nikon, Sony, Canon, and Panasonic cameras, providing operators with real-time adjustments and touch-to-focus functionality directly from the screen.

The V4 firmware update significantly enhances functionality and usability, introducing improved colour tools such as Before LUT Detection, expanded LUT management, and refined Log Stops controls. Monitoring tools have been upgraded with customizable overlays, new colour options, and enhanced false colour presets. Camera control has also been expanded, with deeper integration for Sony systems including Wi-Fi and USB-C control, touch focus features, and advanced exposure adjustments. Additional support extends to RED DSMC2, Nikon Z-series, Canon cinema and mirrorless cameras, and Panasonic GH7, alongside new One-to-Many control capabilities.

Powered by CINEFORM OS, the BM5 IV WR allows users to fully customise their workflow with up to seven user-defined pages, dual calibration file imports, and easy configuration transfer via USB. The monitor also supports dual-screen viewing modes such as picture-in-picture, split-screen, and vertical or horizontal layouts, enabling simultaneous monitoring of multiple signals.

Flexible colour management is a key strength, with support for Rec.709, P3-DCI, and P3-D65 gamuts. Users can fine-tune image output with custom false colour configurations, 3D LUTs, and optional X-Rite probe calibration for precise colour accuracy.

Connectivity is further enhanced with HDMI input/output supporting up to 4K60 and SDI up to 1080p60, along with USB-A for firmware updates and LUT uploads. A micro-USB interface enables wired camera control, while a dedicated UART port supports integration with Tilta Nucleus systems.

Designed for versatility in the field, the monitor offers multiple power options, including a 2-pin LEMO input, a 4-pin aviation input with a D-Tap cable, and an integrated NP-F battery plate. Its robust aluminium construction is complemented by an intelligent cooling system with adjustable fan settings to minimise noise during recording.
