The PreSonus Quantum HD 2 is the culmination of nearly 30 years of design experience, delivering a 20x24 USB-C desktop audio interface built for producers, musicians, and creators who demand high-fidelity audio and flexible connectivity for both studio and live applications. With support for Mac, Windows, iOS, and Android devices, it enables seamless recording across desktop and mobile workflows.

At its core, the Quantum HD 2 features two high-definition MAX-HD mic preamps with up to +75 dB of gain, designed to deliver transparent, low-noise performance optimized for modern microphones. Guitarists and bassists benefit from front-facing Hi-Z instrument inputs co-developed with Fender engineers, offering responsive tone and accurate instrument capture. High-performance 32-bit / 192 kHz converters with 124 dB dynamic range ensure exceptional clarity, depth, and detail in every recording.

The interface includes two reamp outputs, allowing users to send recorded audio back through amplifiers, pedals, and outboard gear for tone shaping and creative experimentation. A built-in DSP monitor mixer and loopback functionality make it easy to create custom monitor mixes or streaming setups, while Auto Gain simplifies level setting for fast, reliable recording sessions.

For expansion and integration, the Quantum HD 2 provides ADAT optical I/O (up to 16 additional channels at 48 kHz) and stereo S/PDIF connectivity for external digital gear. Flexible monitoring is supported through balanced main outputs, additional line outputs, and a high-power headphone output, with built-in speaker switching for referencing multiple monitor systems.

Custom low-latency drivers ensure highly responsive performance during recording, while the Universal Control app enables remote control of preamps, phantom power, routing, and gain staging from desktop or mobile devices. A full-color high-resolution display and illuminated encoder provide quick, intuitive hardware control at the interface itself.

The Quantum HD 2 also includes professional recording software, featuring a 12-month Studio One+ subscription and a perpetual license for Studio One Professional Edition, giving users a complete production environment out of the box.
