The SmallRig "HawkLock" Quick Release Cage for Canon EOS R6 V (6372) is a professional-grade protective and expansion rig designed to enhance stability, versatility, and workflow efficiency for Canon EOS R6 V users. Engineered for demanding production environments, it combines robust camera protection with a highly modular mounting ecosystem.

The cage secures the camera using a dual 1/4"-20 screw system (bottom and side) supported by a side locating block, ensuring a firm, anti-twist fit during operation. Integrated silicone padding lines the interior to prevent scratches and provide a snug, vibration-resistant hold. The design preserves full access to essential controls, including buttons, card slots, the articulating screen, and battery compartment, maintaining complete operational freedom.

At the core of the system is SmallRig’s patented "HawkLock" quick release mechanism, enabling one-touch self-locking for fast accessory attachment and removal without additional tightening. This significantly improves setup speed and on-set efficiency when transitioning between configurations.

For expanded rigging options, the cage incorporates H21 NATO rails on the top and both sides, allowing rapid mounting of compatible accessories such as top handles (ID 5632, 4483, 3766), side handles (ID 5633, 4485), monitor mounts (ID 4487), and magic arms (ID 4489). In addition, multiple 1/4"-20 threaded holes and locating points support a wide range of accessories including alternative handles, articulating arms, and monitor mounting systems (ID 2093, 4346, 3874, 3875, 2904B).

A built-in cold shoe mount provides quick attachment for microphones and compact LED lights, while dedicated wrist strap and shoulder strap mounting points enhance portability and safety during transport. A QD socket is also included for compatibility with QD quick-release shoulder straps (ID 4118), offering additional carrying flexibility.

The base of the cage features an Arca-Swiss quick release plate, enabling direct mounting onto Arca-type tripod systems (ID 4060, 4353) as well as DJI RS-series gimbals, including RS 2, RSC 2, RS 3, RS 3 Pro, RS 4, RS 4 Pro, and RS 5. This allows seamless transitions between handheld, tripod, and stabilized gimbal shooting setups. A double-headed wrench is conveniently stored at the base for quick assembly and adjustments in the field.

Note: This cage is not compatible with the DJI RS 4 Mini gimbal.
