It has an even more compact form factor than its predecessors and four diamond-patterned capsules. Clear recordings are produced by internal digital signal processing and sophisticated beamforming, with the option to choose between noise-cut and low-cut filters. A super directional pickup pattern with front and rear pickup has eight configurable modes for the most recording flexibility.
Using the onboard dial control, pick from eight recording modes, including stereo, to accommodate various recording settings. The ECM-M1 can isolate the left, right, rear, or front audio sources and record distinct channels simultaneously thanks to the integrated condensers' diamond arrangement. Superdirectional, unidirectional, omnidirectional, super directional (rear), superdirectional (front and rear separate), stereo, and ultra-directional are among the selectable modes.
