  • Yamaha HS7 Powered Studio Monitor (Single, White)

Designed for excellent sound reproduction, the Yamaha HS7 Powered Studio Monitor in white is a bi-amplified monitor. It has a 6.5-inch woofer and a 1-inch tweeter with a waveguide that can create frequencies up to 30kHz, and it has a total output power of up to 95W. The HS7 may be integrated into a number of studio configurations thanks to its XLR and 1/4" TRS inputs, which both accept balanced or unbalanced signals.

The HS Series cabinets are made to minimise undesired resonance and push the boundaries of sound reproduction accuracy. The inclosures have a damped acoustic response and are made of dense MDF. Additionally, the HS Series engineers used the conventional three-way mitered-joint method. This construction, which is typical of architectural design, firmly anchors the enclosure's corners to improve longevity and get rid of undesirable resonance that could affect the sound as a whole.

The clarity of the overall sound can be significantly impacted by speaker port design. Frequently, a vortex at either end of the port can cause noise-generating air vibrations inside the port. Yamaha's engineers are able to manage and decrease the vortex by using noise reduction technology that involves an examination of a visual depiction of the sound. Yamaha has developed a port design that decreases noise by up to 6dB as a result of this investigation.

The two response controls on the HS Series full-range models enable them to adjust to the surface acoustics of rooms with various shapes and sizes. When speakers are placed close to walls, an artificial, accentuated low-end can frequently result. Room control lets you reduce this effect, while high trim gives you more control over the high frequency response. A variety of balanced and unbalanced sources, including mixers, keyboards, and audio interfaces with XLR and TRS phone connectors, can be plugged into HS full-range speakers as inputs.
