The Amaran Ray 120c RGB LED Monolight builds on the compact design of the Ray 60c while delivering a significant boost in output for creators who need more power on the move. Slim at just 5 cm and weighing only 590 g, this ultra-portable 120 W fixture is engineered for tight spaces, mobile shooting environments, and fast setups. Despite being 85% smaller in body volume than amaran’s 150c, it delivers noticeably higher brightness. Powered by the OmniColor light engine, the Ray 120c offers flexible power options and intuitive control via the FlowTurn knob, NFC one-tap app pairing, and full Bluetooth app integration. With an extended colour temperature range of 1800–20,000 K in CCT+ mode, full 360° colour selection through HSI and RGB modes, and high colour accuracy ratings (CRI 95, TLCI 95, SSI 80/87, TM-30 94/100), the Ray 120c is built for professional, true-to-life colour reproduction.

Despite its compact size, the Ray 120c delivers impressive output—up to 6850 lux at 1 m (3200 K) —with even more punch when paired with optional accessories like the Mini Reflector or Mini Fresnel. Brightness is fully adjustable from 0–100%, and the light includes 12 built-in FX presets, including lightning, fireworks, TV, fire, and paparazzi, for creative lighting scenarios. A streamlined interface with a TFT display, Quick Operation mode, and customisable shortcuts ensures fast on-the-fly adjustments, whether shooting in the studio or out in the field. Bluetooth app control extends up to 80 m, allowing seamless remote operation.

Designed for versatile and reliable use, the Ray 120c supports multiple power methods, including USB-C PD 3.0, 12–24 V DC input, and compatibility with the amaran Ace E-Lock for optional portable batteries. It can run entirely cable-free for up to 35 minutes at full power with the optional amaran Peak or for up to 46 minutes at 50% output using the Peak 75. The IP54 weather-resistant design protects against dust and splashes, making it ideal for outdoor shoots where wind, humidity, or light rain may pose a challenge. Quiet active cooling at just 28 dBA ensures clean audio capture in video environments, with selectable bright or silent fan modes.

The Ray 120c features a durable, full-size Bowens mount compatible with a wide range of light modifiers. A built-in 1/4-20" thread provides additional mounting flexibility, and amaran includes a 30 cm one-snap Octa Dome softbox and an Ace Lock to Baby Pin Adapter Grip for quick stand mounting or handheld operation with a portable battery attached.
