Instead of two conventional AA cells, the battery, which has two rechargeable NiMH cells, is put into the battery compartment. A built-in sensor provides battery status information, keeps an eye on charging temperature, and prevents non-rechargeable batteries from being charged. Chargers for batteries are offered separately.
