The DZOFilm VESPID 12mm T2.8 Lens, which is a member of the VESPID series of lenses, is a reasonably compact and lightweight lens that is ideal for independent and premium full-frame cinematography. With its 80mm front diameter, the lens is compatible with almost any type of cine-style matte box. Due to its compact size, this lens is a desirable choice for run-and-gun or handheld photography and use with gimbals and drones. With the supplied Canon EF mount, this manual lens is compatible with cameras with a PL or EF mount, thanks to its interchangeable ARRI PL mount. The lens's full-frame coverage allows it to be used on cameras with sensors up to full-frame without vignetting, even with sensors with an image circle as large as 46.5mm.
The 10-blade iris produces rounded, more realistic-looking out-of-focus highlights, which add to the lens's realistic-looking bokeh. With a large 75° of rotation, the iris ring complements the focus ring's 270° of revolution for accurate focus pulls. The lens features an ND filter rear filter that is magnetically connected.
