The Blackmagic Design ATEM 4 M/E Constellation IP Plus Switcher is a high-performance 3RU live production switcher engineered for advanced broadcast environments, delivering powerful SMPTE 2110 IP workflows with exceptional scalability and redundancy. Featuring 64 SMPTE 2110 IP video inputs and 52 outputs via dual redundant 100G Ethernet connections, it is ideal for large-scale live productions, studios, and broadcast facilities.

Built for reliability, the Constellation IP Plus includes full SMPTE 2022-7 redundancy across all video connections, along with additional redundancy for control and PTP Ethernet ports. Its updated design features efficient front-to-back cooling with ultra-quiet fans, while a built-in LCD screen provides real-time system status and access to settings. A front-panel headphone output and an integrated speaker enable convenient local monitoring, and a USB-C port supports software updates and direct connection to the ATEM Software Control app.

With 64 standards-converted inputs, the switcher automatically handles mixed video formats, ensuring seamless integration of SD, HD, UHD, 4K, and 8K sources. It also features 48 outputs, four multiviews, 16 ATEM Advanced Keyers, and two SuperSource processors, delivering a total of 12 DVEs for advanced compositing and multi-layer effects.

Designed for professional workflows, the ATEM Software Control app provides full program/preview switching, media management, audio mixing, and camera control. Optional hardware panels can be added for tactile control, and the ATEM SDK supports custom automation solutions. The built-in multiview system supports up to 64 simultaneous views across four displays, complete with tally indicators, labels, and audio meters.

Creative tools include a wide range of broadcast-quality transitions, chroma keying, and a media pool capable of storing stills and animations for dynamic graphics and virtual set creation. SuperSource processing adds powerful multi-layer compositing, enabling complex picture-in-picture layouts and visual effects.

For streaming and conferencing, a USB-C webcam output allows direct integration with software such as Zoom or Microsoft Teams, providing professional multicamera output. The switcher also supports advanced audio workflows with Fairlight Live integration, enabling high-end audio mixing for live events and broadcast productions.
